You’ve been coming to Surat for years, now be part of the team and get a behind-the-scene experience in helping to facilitate workshops and activities.  Connected to the exciting changes in store for Surat-Lalkaar 2012, we will be having an intense facilitator training process.  The facilitators will have a series of training conference calls and will come together a day before the conference to prepare for the enervating content of Surat-Lalkaar 2012.

Surat-Lalkaar 2012 Facilitators are THE key component of making the conference experience inspirational, education, comfortable and ultimately successful. This is a new component we are introducing to the conference in NY and hope it will allow more opportunities for small-group based discussions.

Being a Surat-Lalkaar Facilitator is a duty, as you are the ambassadors of the conference. We are looking for individuals that are responsible, can construct an environment for open dialogue, and are committed and passionate about the key issues that effect our community. Please note that in order for our Surat-Lalkaar Facilitators to be thoroughly prepared we require a training process.

The training process will include at least 2 conference calls prior to the conference.

Facilitators are also required to come to the hotel on Thursday evening, in anticipation for an all-day training session beginning Friday morning (1/13/12), before the conference begins, for training. This will prepare facilitators to be confident, well-versed, and well-prepared with the material. We will provide a resource guide on how to successfully create an open and safe environment for participants to discourse about sensitive topics.
